As we come together as a family, let’s bask in the joy and thrill of marriage. Proverbs 5:18 reminds us that our relationships should be a source of boundless joy and blessing. God designed marriage not to be a mundane routine but a vibrant, exhilarating journey, brimming with fulfillment and life!
In our busy lives, it’s easy to let the spark fade. We all face the challenges of balancing children, work, and daily responsibilities, which can often take precedence over nurturing our relationships. However, we must remember that God did not intend faithfulness in marriage to feel dull or lifeless. Instead, He calls us to celebrate our unions actively.
One powerful way to keep our marriages alive and growing is by dating our spouses. I like buying Brandee teddy bears, just as we did when we first fell in love, setting aside intentional time for one another can reignite that passion and deepen our friendship. When planning regular dates—whether a simple dinner at home or an adventurous outing—these planned dates strengthen our bond.
Dating isn’t just about romance; it’s about building a solid friendship—the cornerstone of any successful long-term marriage. When we spend quality time together, we communicate more openly, laugh more freely, and connect on deeper levels, strengthening our bond and understanding of each other.
Let us honor our spouses as the blessings they are by prioritizing this time together. When we date our partners, we cherish them and honor God’s design for our marriages. Through these moments, we cultivate love, joy, and intimacy within our families.
As a family, let’s encourage each other to create opportunities for dating within our marriages. Share ideas for fun dates, such as horseback riding, set reminders for regular date nights, and celebrate each other’s efforts to keep the flame alive!
